The "working stamp mill" was slightly overrated - they manually turned the wheel until the stamp fell once, but it was incredible to imagine how noisy and chaotic it must have been when all 10 stamps where hammering away at 80 beats per minute. What totally blew us away were the Pelton water wheels which they used in both the mine and the mill.
